Uber X & Uber Go - Hyderabad & Bangalore - Be Ready to Pay More for Long Rides

After Bangalore. Its in Hyderabad. Uber's most Profitable city ( ? ) in India.

As per survey these two cities have 35% of Uber's rider base and contribute to 40% of total weekly rides.

As 9 Rs/Km is never profitable for any Taxi company ( not to forget the hefty incentive uber used to pay its drivers, which was even 275 Rs / trip ).

As per TaxiPromo.in's calculation for a 10 Kms Trip at Normal Price Uber X total bill would be between 180-190 Rs. Uber Pays drivers more than this. 80% of the bill + Incentives which makes the Business a LOSS making one.

Now after gaining much user base , Uber has gradually decrease the Driver's incentives to just 50 Rs/Trip which is still manageable if total bill is 250 Rs.

To make profits from famous UberX,starting today Sep 15th ,Uber is changing its Price structure from 16 KM onwards journey. You will be charged a different fare for every KM that your uberX and uberGO take you, as follows

Uber is increasing it's fare silently, earlier Uber has increased Bangalore fare if your distance exceeds 15 km in single ride, today they are increasing Hyderabad fare.

Scenario 1. You take a ride of 16 km in 45 mins in UberX in Hyderabad
Distance fare : 16*9 = Rs 144 (No difference in fare until 16 Kms)
Time Fare : 1*45 =Rs 45
Base Fare : Rs 45
Total Bill : Rs 234 Rs. >> Rate Per Kms would be 14.6 Rs

Scenario 2. You take a ride of 20 km in 60 mins in UberX.
Distance Fare: 16*9 + 4*18 = Rs 216 (Difference : 4*9=36)
Time Fare : 1*60 =Rs 60
Base Fare : Rs 45
Total Bill : Rs 321 >> Rate Per Kms would be 16.05 Rs
Extra fare then regular fare : Rs 36


Example 3. Ride from hitech city to airport which is almost 40 Km in 50 mins in UberX.
Distance Fare: 16*9 + 24*18 = Rs 576 (Difference: 24*9=216)
Time Fare : 1*50 =Rs 50
Base Fare : Rs 45
Total Bill : Rs 671
Extra fare then regular fare : Rs 216

So next Time you are riding UberX to Airport , Be ready to pay 200 Rs extra.
